about me

Hi friends!

I’m so honored that you’re here! My name is Beth and I’m a Bay Area potter and polymer clay artist. I’m also the owner of Ashenafi Studios. Obsessed with: Trader Joe’s, milk tea and all things clay!

After graduating college in 2014, I didn’t have a sense of direction of what I wanted to do with my life.  I just knew I wanted to help people. At the age of 26, I enrolled in a ceramics class at my local community college. Little did I know that I would fall in love with the messy process of making something beautiful and functional from a lump of clay. In 2020 ( 2 years later) right before the pandemic, is when I got introduced to polymer clay. I loved the fact that I could work with this type of clay from home and that it didn’t need a kiln! While sheltering in place, it allowed me time and practice to get good enough to start selling some of my pieces with you!

What lights me up is speaking life over people. My heart leaps with joy when I encourage someone with the truth. My top love language is words of affirmation, so I know just how powerful a timely word is. As you may have noticed, I name many of my earrings after things that are important to me. Many of my earrings have beautiful, life- giving meanings on purpose. When you wear the earrings, I want you to remember the beautiful meaning behind the name, and the truth behind the meaning.  It’s my small way of speaking life over you.

Currently, you can find me living in my leggings and graphic tees sipping on some boba, thinking of new designs. You can also find me watching historical docuseries on YouTube!

As we grow, I hope this is a place where you feel seen, known loved and encouraged. I want to help you believe that the impossible IS possible. There’s nothing you can’t do with Christ. I want your heart filled  to the brim! I want all my girls with their cups running over!

Love,

Beth
